Terms And Conditions
By patronizing the services of Westlake Lessons, LLC, you agree to the terms and conditions set below.
PILOT LESSON – For first-time customers, our Pilot Lesson program allows families to sample our services from one of our teachers before committing to weekly private lessons. The Pilot Lesson must be paid for in advance over the phone (512)285-0764. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. We will contact you following your Pilot Lesson to collect feedback and to complete enrollment. If you are not satisfied, there is no obligation to continue, or you may schedule a Pilot Lesson with another one of our other teachers.
MONTH-TO-MONTH ENROLLMENT – Westlake Lessons accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. The first month of lessons is pro-rated by the number of lesson-dates that month. For each successive month, our services are paid with a flat-rate monthly subscription fee. Subscription rates are based on the individual lesson value, multiplied by the 52-week year, divided by twelve months. Payment for books and materials is the responsibility of the student or family. Individual Lesson Value is used for refunds when applicable, or when purchasing additional services.

Tandem Lesson Packages for Siblings or Parents
• Must be instruction for the same instrument with the same teacher.
• Lessons must be back-to-back on the same lesson day
• Packages limited to household family members

Student Absences – Westlake Lessons does not issue refunds for student absences, student illness, family cancellations, skip dates, etc. See policies below for holidays and summer lessons.
Makeup Lesson Policy – In the instance of a student absence, a makeup lesson may be offered at the teacher’s discretion according to his or her availability, as long as the teacher is notified about the absence with adequate notice. Any missed lesson that is not made up within 14 days is automatically forfeited. Makeup lessons may be cancelled by the teacher with 24-hour notice. If a teacher has to cancel a makeup lesson and fails to give 24-hour notice, that lesson will be refunded.
No Makeups for No-Shows – If a teacher arrives to a house, where the student is absent, ill, without adult supervision, or unable to participate in their lesson, that lesson is considered forfeited and cannot be rescheduled.
Teacher Cancellations – If a teacher has to cancel a lesson, or is unavailable at the scheduled lesson time, you may have the option to either reschedule the lesson (depending on mutual availability) or cancel the lesson for a full refund. Refunds are processed in 2-5 business days to the credit card on file. The teacher cancellation policy also applies if a teacher is tardy by more than 20-minutes and the student is not available for the full lesson duration.
Holiday Calendar – If your scheduled lesson lands on any of our Holidays - posted below - you may cancel that lesson for a refund with 24-Hour notice.

4/19/19 — 4/21/19 — Good Friday / Easter Weekend
5/27/19 – Memorial Day
Summer Lessons (June - August) - 2 Lessons per month from June to August may be canceled for a full refund with 72-Hour notice.
NO UNATTENDED MINORS – Westlake Lessons, LLC or its Independent Teachers are not responsible for unattended or unsupervised minors. We require that a parent or guardian always be present on premises for all music lessons.
WE CANNOT BE RESPONSIBLE – Westlake Lessons or its Independent Teachers are not responsible for any lost, missing, damaged or stolen property in your home.
TERMINATION – Enrollment will automatically renew each month unless a notice of termination is given to Westlake Lessons with seven (7) days’ notice. To terminate/suspend lessons, contact info@westlakelessons.com with subject “Notice of Termination.” Please indicate in the body of the email your requested last lesson date. Your last lesson date should be 7 or more days from the date of notice given. Please specify if you will not be able to attend your last lesson. If your last lesson date is in the middle of the month, you will receive a pro-rated refund for any remaining lesson dates after the last lesson.
